Started in 2014, Delaware River Solar (DRS) is owned by a local, grass-fed beef farmer, Rich Winter, who operates Chaljeri Meats in Callicoon as well. Several other projects are completed and about to go live in the coming days. Each 2-megawatt project serves approximately 400 homes and businesses while also removing 5 million pounds of carbon emissions from the atmosphere every single year. Other scheduled completions for 2019 include:

5. Wood Oak Drive in Narrowsburg, NY – 2 MW project – SOLD OUT

6. Villa Roma Road in Callicoon, NY – (4) 2 MW projects. Villa 1 &2 – SOLD OUT. Villa 3 & 4 – OPEN ENROLLMENT

7. Gaskill Road in Owego, NY – 5MW project – SOLD OUT

NYSEG and RGE Customers must subscribe to get the benefits of the program. Community solar customers receive credits on their utility bills. DRS offers a 10% discount off the utility kilowatt-hour rate. In total, these projects will save residents over $200,000 and eliminate over 60 million pounds of carbon emissions EVERY year.
