The market kicks off the season!
Delaware River Solar has partnered with the Pakatakan Farmers Market in Halcottsville, NY to offer NYSEG customers the chance to sign up for the community and to earn $100 worth of market dollars. After a great season at the market in 2019, DRS is proud to partner with this local treasure focused on sustainable farming. The market is open every Saturday from May 16th until October 10th from 10 am to 1 pm. Delaware River Solar’s Sales Representative, Andrea Cahill, will be available to answer questions and help all who are interested in enrolling in community solar.
Community solar allows residents to enroll in a local, shared solar farm and see consistent savings on their electric bill – without paying any upfront costs or making any changes to their property. No long terms contracts and customers can cancel at any time with no penalty. There are no added costs, only savings. DRS bills customers at 10% less than the NYSEG rate for the power they produce for customers each month.
Delaware River Solar develops, builds, and operates community solar projects throughout New York State. Their mission is to expand solar energy to those that cannot or prefer not to host solar on their own property and to contribute to the state’s bold energy and climate goals. Delaware River Solar works with local landowners, governments, organizations, and residents to responsibly and effectively build solar projects that benefit the community.
